General objectivesThe general objectives of this project are on the one hand to increase the employability of young people and to contribute to the development of a highly skilled, qualified and mobile workforce from which companies should also benefit, and on the other hand to support VET developments in Europe and to strengthen its overall quality, relevance and attractiveness.Specific objectivesTo design a new Joint Qualification in VET for engineering technician in Croatia and SloveniaTo establish a new sustainable cooperation structureTo strengthen international cooperation between the education/training and the world of workTo create a new international curriculum that includes opportunities for mobility and strong work-based learningTo crease the selection of relevant VET programmesTo promote the reform and modernisation of VET education in the partner countries
Students of the participating VET schools and Potential employers in the engineering sector in Croatia and Slovenia who are faced with the lack of adequately skilled workers
The expected long-term impact is the improved students’ employability by creating a modern work-based education and training path for engineering technicians based on the needs of the labour market, consequently fostering economic development and reducing the skills mismatch. The project will increase the employability of young people by furthering the vocational segment of the qualification, which will be based on the research of the industry requirements for skills and competencies in participating countries.The development of transnational qualifications contributes to the recognition and transparency of qualifications along with the already existing national and EU qualification development tools. The long-term objective is to create a sustainable resource for the development of joint qualifications as an innovative approach to meeting the needs of the contemporary European Common market, by delivering such innovations to the policy-makers.
